Odorous house ants (OHA) are the No. 1 pest ant species in the Midwest. OHA have extremely large colonies with multiple sub-colonies. They are very mobile and can travel long distances to food sources. OHA typically begin invading structures in the spring in search of food items to facilitate colony growth. OHA can, however, be found inside every season.
